This Week’s Movie Reviews
You Resemble Me

Thank you Tom Hanks and EO, and to all of you who have returned to the Rose since we re-opened last year. Last weekend truly felt like old times. And our free community screening on Martin Luther King Day - always my favorite event - was hugely successful.

Mr. Hanks and EO are both holding over for another week. Joining them this week, the family-friendly, animated hit PUSS IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISH and the new drama YOU RESEMBLE ME. Our special event this Sunday with directors Dina Amer and Robin Swicord is sold out. YOU RESEMBLE ME will be playing only through Thursday, January 26th.

I'm very pleased that the last two movies that I will be booking for the theatres - LIVING with Bill Nighy and WOMEN TALKING - will both be opening next Friday, 1/27. Nighy gives an Oscar-worthy performance that reminds us, again, that he's an international treasure. And WOMEN TALKING features radiant, fierce performances from Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Sheila McCarthy, Judith Ivey, Ben Wishaw and Frances McDormand.
